The Manchester United youngster fans want to see face Chelsea

Manchester United fans have indicated they would like to see Ethan Laird feature for the first-team when they face Chelsea in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday night.

United travel to Stamford Bridge for the fourth round tie this week as Ole Gunnar Solskjaer looks to extend his recent upturn in form.

The fixture falls during a packed schedule of games for United and many fans have called for changes to take place in order to deal with player fitness levels.

As a result Solskjaer could look to give youth a chance in the match and many supporters believe Laird is the teenager who most deserves to be involved.

MEN Sport ran on a poll on Monday in which fans were asked to vote for the youngster who they would most like to see play at Stamford Bridge this week.

Laird won the poll with 47 per cent of the vote, while Academy forward Largie Ramazani finished in second place with a backing of 27 per cent.

Wales youth international Dylan Levitt took 18 per cent of the vote with the remaining 8 per cent going to other youngsters in the Academy.

Replying to the poll one supporter suggested that all three youngsters should be given a chance against Chelsea.

"Like to see Laird start and the other two on the bench," they tweeted. "Ramazani definitely starting to look like an option from the right."
