The Manchester United team news v Cardiff City as squad revealed

Manchester United are set to field a very different-looking team against Cardiff City today.

Youngsters Tahith Chong, Mason Greenwood, James Garner and Angel Gomes are all in line to play for the home team after being named in the provisional squad for the game, report the Manchester Evening News.

Chong came off the bench to replace Alexis Sanchez during the 1-1 draw with Huddersfield, that ended United's hopes of Champions League football next season.

Gomes, Greenwood and Garner have all been involved with the first-team at various stages of the season but this will be the first time they have all been thrown in together in a big Premier League match.

Greenwood is reportedly tipped to start against Cardiff having netted 30 goals across four age groups this term.

Cardiff are looking to end the season on a high after their relegation was confirmed a week ago.

They are set to be without loan signings Victor Camarasa and Harry Arter, who both look to have played their final game for the club.

The game could potentially be Neil Warnock's last in charge, with talks planned between the manager and Bluebirds board early next week.

Earlier this week he revealed what it would take to keep him at the club , saying: "I’m seeing Mehmet and Ken on Monday – we’re having a full day together, discussing all aspects of the club. I’m aware of what Vincent’s said but I’ve been so busy I’ve had so many things to do, I haven’t really had the time.

"I’ve not spoken to Vincent since the last game. I’m sure I’ll get filled in on Monday about all the behind the scenes.

“I’ve got to just speak to them about every aspect of the club. That’s what we were going to do anyway so that’s nothing new. They appreciate how busy the last two weeks have been."
