The Manchester United star who could miss Premier League clash with West Ham

West Ham United have been handed an early boost with the news that Romelu Lukaku is set for a further two weeks on the sidelines.

The striker has been out action with a foot injury that he suffered in Manchester United's dramatic Champions League comeback against Paris Saint-Germain, although he did play through the pain in the defeat to Arsenal.

The Hammers face United in two weeks' time, meaning that the Belgian powerhouse is expected to be touch-and-go for the clash at Old Trafford.

Lukaku missed Man United's FA Cup quarter-final defeat against Wolves, and a ccording to the Manchester Evening News , sources have said that the striker 'needs some time' to recover fully.

Despite missing the clash with Nuno Espirito Santo's side, Lukaku was called up for Belgium's European Championship qualifiers against Russia and Cyprus.

However after an MRI scan, he was ruled out of Roberto Martinez's side.

Lukaku is set to miss United's next two games against Watford and Wolves as a result, and fans of West Ham will be hoping that his injury sees him ruled out of the clash against Manuel Pellegrini's side on April 13.
