The Manchester United games Anthony Martial will miss after Tottenham red card

Manchester United striker Anthony Martial saw red in a disastrous first half against Tottenham Hotspur.

Martial was sent off in the 28th minute of Sunday's Premier League showdown at Old Trafford following an off-the-ball clash with Erik Lamela.

Replays showed that Martial had retaliated to a push from Lamela, who escaped without punishment.

Having ruled that Martial caught Lamela in the face, referee Anthony Taylor gave the Frenchman his marching orders.

With the offence classed as violent conduct, that means the United forward now faces a three-match Premier League ban.

So, here are the games he is set to miss:

Sat Oct 17 Newcastle United (a)

Sat Oct 24 Chelsea (h)

Sun Nov 1 Arsenal (h)

United have two Champions League matches during that period - against Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig - but the suspension only applies to domestic games.

Assuming the red card is not overturned, Martial will next be available for a Premier League fixture away at Everton on November 7.
