The Manchester United favourite's record that Chelsea ace Tammy Abraham has already matched

Tammy Abraham has been in superb form for Chelsea in the Premier League so far this season, helping the Blues open up a significant margin in the race for a top-four finish.

Frank Lampard's side sit third in the standings heading into the final international break of the calendar year, ahead of Manchester City following Liverpool's victory at Anfield yesterday (Sunday).

Already holding a nine-point advantage over fifth-placed Sheffield United and even further ahead of the likes of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham, Chelsea look to be in a solid position to secure Champions League football again next season.

Abraham's goals have been integral to Chelsea's fine start to the season, with the young forward already hitting double figures in his first few months as a Premier League player with the Blues.

After netting the opening goal in the 2-0 victory over Crystal Palace on Saturday, Abraham's tally for the campaign has hit 10 in the league and sits second in the scoring charts behind Leicester City's Jamie Vardy.

As well as boasting an impressive return, Abraham's form in front of goal has also bolstered his standing in the England squad, which could be vital ahead of next summer's European Championships.

While Spurs' Harry Kane is the undisputed main man for Gareth Southgate, Abraham has certainly given himself a chance of being the second in command - particularly given the record he has equalled.

Having hit 10 for the season, Abraham has already equalled the best-ever return from United favourite Marcus Rashford, taking just 12 matches to do so.

Rashford became one of United's highest-paid players in the summer when he signed a new four-year deal at Old Trafford, although he hasn't quite been able to repay his side with consistency in front of goal.

Abraham's remarkable form is therefore certainly something for Chelsea fans to enjoy and gives them good ammunition for the debate against United supporters on who is the better forward.
