'The manager goes tonight': Arsenal fans react to another year of Europa League football

Arsenal's dream of Champions League football next season has been shattered following a hefty defeat at the hands of London rivals Chelsea in the Europa League final.

The Gunners missed out on a top-four finish in the Premier League and needed to beat the Blues in Baku to seal a return to Europe's elite competition but that was not to be the case.

Olivier Giroud opened the scoring early in the second half, with the lead then extended by Pedro and Eden Hazard. Alex Iwobi's fine volley looked to have given Unai Emery's side a glimmer of hope but Hazard then tucked home again from the penalty spot.

A 4-1 defeat means Arsenal will now face a third consecutive season without Champions League football, which may provide an impact in the transfer market in pursuit of their targets.
