The Man Utd nicknames of Wales star Daniel James and ex-Leicester City man Harry Maguire revealed

Manchester United star Jesse Lingard has revealed the nicknames of three of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's new signings.

Wales youngster Daniel James, former Leicester City man Harry Maguire and ex-Crystal Palace defender Aaron Wan-Bissaka all made their Old Trafford bows in the 4-0 win over Chelsea on Sunday, with James netting the fourth on an emotional afternoon for the 21-year-old.

All three played key parts in the win for Solskjaer, with the defensive duo adding steel to a backline that has been so porous over previous seasons.

Both Maguire and Wan-Bissaka started the game, with James coming off the bench to score in front of the Stretford End before being mobbed by his team-mates.

Lingard posted on social media a picture of the celebrations following James' strike, and the nicknames of the three new boys were revealed.

He wrote on Instagram: "Welcome to the Theatre of Dreams. Spidey aka Aaron Wan-Bissaka. The Flash aka Daniel James. The Beast aka Harry Maguire."

James' moniker is no surprise considering his rapidness is such a key feature of his game.

His team-mate Juan Mata was impressed with what he saw from the trio.

He said: "Chelsea started well, dominating and having some chances, but in the end we took the three points, kept a clean sheet and there were a lot of positives.

"For example, the debuts for Harry, Aaron and Daniel (who scored as well). They have adapted very quickly to the rest of the team and I am sure they are going to offer us a lot."

On his debut goal, James said: "I don't think you can sum it up.

"To come here and score on my debut is a dream come true. Ever since I've come here I've dreamt of that and to do it on my debut is amazing."
