Chelsea have already been busy in the summer transfer window.
And they are expected to continue their spending spree too.
Frank Lampard will have two new players in his squad next season, having signed Hakim Ziyech and Timo Werner, while Kai Havertz is expected to be the third big money signing.
However, all three are forward players, and, with Chelsea having the worst defensive record in the top half of the Premier League in 2019/20, additions to the back-line are required.
Not only that, but there are question marks over the goalkeeper position, with club-record signing Kepa Arrizabalaga ditched towards the end of the season following a number of high-profile errors.
Willy Caballero has been a capable understudy, but at 37 years old, the Blues need a regular first-choice if they are to challenge at the top of the table.
A number of players have been linked, including Atletico Madrid's Jan Oblak and Barcelona's Marc-Andre ter Stegen.
They have also been linked with a move for Manchester United shot-stopper Dean Henderson, who has spent the last season on loan with Sheffield United.
Many have called for Henderson to be given a chance at United, given David de Gea's erratic form, but it seems that is not going to happen just yet.
According to the Daily Mail, United are likely to send Henderson out on loan again this coming season, with de Gea and Sergio Romero staying as the senior keepers in Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad.
But United do not want to let him go to a Premier League rival, instead they would prefer to send him to a European club for the season, seemingly ruling Chelsea out of a transfer.
