The Man City starting XI fans want to see face Newcastle in FA Cup quarter-final

Pep Guardiola is set to shuffle his pack once again as Manchester City face Newcastle in the FA Cup.

Guardiola made no secret that his team selection at Chelsea on Thursday would have this quarter final in mind, as City prioritise the FA Cup. Liverpool's coronation as Premier League champions on the back of City's defeat at Stamford Bridge only underlines how important the cup now is to City.

That defeat at Chelsea saw a costly mistake from Benjamin Mendy and a red card to Fernandinho to hand the Blues victory, and fans have opted to replace both players at St James' Park.

Using MEN Sport's pre-match team selector, fans wanted to see Aleks Zinchenko come in at left-back, and Eric Garcia return alongside Aymeric Laporte in the centre.

In midfield, fans want Kevin de Bruyne to keep his place with David Silva and Rodri alongside him in the centre.

And in attack, fans are keen to see Leroy Sane earn his first start of the season. Since the campaign re-started, Sane has only played once off the bench and was an unused substitute at Chelsea.

The German wants to leave City, but the hectic fixture list could mean Guardiola is forced to play him, with fans calling for a front three of Sane, the in-form Riyad Mahrez and returning striker Gabriel Jesus.
