Despite being beaten 1-0 by Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the season and being held to a frustrating goalless draw at home to Southampton, it has been a relatively strong start to the season for Manchester City.
Seven games into the 2021/22 Premier League campaign, City find themselves third in the table, just two points shy of current table-toppers Chelsea.
Big wins over both Norwich City and Arsenal saw City take six points from their first three matches, before producing a spirited 1-0 win over Leicester City at the King Power Stadium, highlighting that Pep Guardiola's side are coping just fine without having added a new striker to their ranks during the summer.
Following back-to-back away games against Chelsea and Liverpool, which saw City take four points from a possible six, they have firmly cemented themselves in the title race, looking like a strong bet to retain their crown.
