The magical Airbnb called “a must for Harry Potter fans” 90 minutes from Greater Manchester

An Airbnb inspired by all things witchcraft and wizardry has been described as “a must for Harry Potter fans”. Situated half an hour’s walk from York city centre, 101 House At The End is a magical place to stay if you’re planning a getaway from Greater Manchester.

Located in an assuming terrace house, from the outside the Airbnb is just like the Black family’s townhouse in Grimmauld Place. Step inside the property and you’ll discover an interior inspired by Harry Potter, YorkshireLive reports.

Sleeping up to four guests, the house is packed full of quirky antiques, including potion bottles and paintings of owls, while there are even ‘floating’ candles which light up the staircase. Spend the night in the wonderfully-named Emerald Bedchamber, which features a luxurious four-poster bed complete with green velvet curtains.

The second bedroom, hidden behind a “Not so fat lady portrait”, features an impressive bunk bed with red curtains which wouldn’t look out of place in the Gryffindor tower. The walls are decorated with dozens of envelopes, which appear to fly up towards the ceiling just like Harry’s Hogwarts letters.

In the glamorous bathroom guests can unwind with a soak in the gold freestanding bathtub. Decorated with deep green tiles, the room gives a nod to Slytherin and there’s even a golden snake which slithers up the base of the sink.

Downstairs you’ll find the moody Victorian Reading Room, where you can snuggle up with a good book. Decorated with vintage paintings and intricate wallpaper, it’ll transport you to a different time.

At the rear of the house is the rustic Hufflepuff kitchen, where you'll find everything you’d need for your stay. There’s also a large dining room with a cosy nook to where you can relax in the corner.

If the weather’s nice you can enjoy drinks outside in the courtyard, with a table and chairs, perfect for some al fresco dining.
