New Zealand’s independent theatre company Theatre Beating perform The Magic Chicken - a kid’s show of magic, music, mime and mayhem. It’s a slapstick treat of culinary chaos, which follows two “underllectual” chegs in a Seussian hen.
As the half-baked heroes juggle pots, knives and snarling customers, their lives are interrupted by the arrival of an unexpected feathered friend. Will the plucky chicken escape the pot? Will the wolfish customer get his just desserts? Can the dumb waiters stop the caper from turning to custard?
