Arsenal have been linked with a move for Bruno Guimaraes in the January transfer window.
The Gunners have apparently been in contact with 22-year-old's representatives over a possible move for the midfielder, who plays for Athletico Paranaense.
Arsenal have been linked with the midfielder, with Edu apparently holding talks with both the club and his representatives, and a fee mooted at around £20million to £26million.
The player spoke about a possible move back in September, stating: "The interest of other teams, I see that it's normal when the person has been playing well. I leave that in the hands of my agents. I'm happy at Athletico and focused on the final."
A number of other teams have been linked, including Benfica, and now another is said to have joined the race.
Lyon are apparently lining up Guimaraes as a potential replacement for Lucas Tousart.
The Ligue 1 side are currently in negotiations with Hertha Berlin about a move for Tousart - and are lining up a move for Guimaraes to replace him, according to L'Equipe.
Lyon's sporting director Juninho is said to be in charge of discussions. And while the French side are keen on agreeing a move in January, they are also interested in completing a deal in the summer if they cannot get a deal done this month.
Any further interest from other clubs would potentially push the price up for Guimaraes, who is set to captain Brazil's 2020 Olympic team in their qualifying tournament in the next couple of weeks.
