The Luck Uglies by Paul Durham - review

Paul Durham, The Luck Uglies

The Luck Uglies is the first book in an adventurous series filled with a fantastic range of characters and is a good read throughout the entire story.

Strange things are happening in Village Drowning, and Rye O'Chanter is now convinced that the monstrous and apparently extinct Bog Noblins have returned.
Now Rye's only hope is in a banished secret society so notorious that it's name can't even be spoken aloud; the Luck Uglies. As Rye dives into the Village Drowning's web of secrets, truths of the past and lies to be regretted, she will learn the truth behind the village's legends about the villains and beasts roaming the lands. She realises it may take a criminal to save them from the treacherous monsters and that sometimes, your instincts let you down and that the most dangerous beast of all, can be man.

The Luck Uglies is an amazing book, filled with wonders and surprises that are worth staying up all night for.
