The lovely moment Steve Bruce celebrates with Miguel Almiron as the forward scores his first NUFC goal

Steve Bruce waited for Miguel Almiron on the touchline at full-time and gave the forward a huge hug after Newcastle United defeated Crystal Palace 1-0.

It was Almiron's goal, his first for the club, that grabbed all three points for United and extended their unbeaten run at home to eight games.

A Fabian Schar cross was met by Andy Carroll and the ball fell into the path of Almiron who twisted to volley home from close range.

The crowd erupted, as Almiron ran towards the corner of the Gallowgate and Milburn stands, hugging a young boy as his teammates jumped on his back.

The goal ended a wait of nearly 12 months for Almiron to grab his first goal and break the duck that had gained him quite a bit of criticism.

This is the moment that Bruce congratulated Almiron at full-time as the players headed down the tunnel.
