'The love of my life, my best friend' Heartbroken partner pays tribute after young Scot killed in holiday cliff diving tragedy

The 'devastated' partner of a Scot killed in a horror holiday cliff diving accident has paid a heartfelt tribute to 'the love of her life' as efforts are underway to return his body.

Andy Kerr, from Paisley, has been hailed by distraught pals and family after he was killed on Friday (May 28) in Portugal.

Details of the accident are still emerging but tributes have been flowed for Andy online, reports Edinburgh Live.

A fundraising drive has now been launched to raise £15,000 to return the young Scots body home and help cover the costs of the funeral.

Devastated partner Karolina Markevica launched the online effort which has already soared past its goal.

In a heartbreaking message urging people to donate she wrote: "Our beloved Andy has died in a cliff jumping accident on 28th May in Portugal. Andy was the love of my life, best friend, my rock.

"Andy dedicated his life to helping and motivating the others to achieve their best, to improve their lifestyle, to become successful. Charming, independent, energetic and compassionate, Andy was and will be our mentor, who could have changed the world with just an idea, and he did change the world for lots of people, including myself.

"We are all devastated by Andy’s loss and will need to get Andy back to the United Kingdom.

A fundraising drive has been launched for Andy (GoFundMe)

"We want to give Andy the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.

"I am currently asking for donations to help his parents to cover the costs of Andy’s funeral and repatriation. We need to raise £15,000 by tomorrow, 31st May, in order to be able to afford it in Portugal and in the United Kingdom.

"Here is a link to the fundraiser for Andy. Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.

"Thank you so much and have a wonderful day. Karolina."

In a tragic Facebook post before setting off, Karolina wrote how she could not wait to take the trip with her man.
