The Lord of the Rings-inspired log cabin where you can spend the weekend

Liverpool has no shortage of beautiful places to explore and scenery to enjoy - but sadly none of them are inspired by Lord of the Rings.

If you’re a fan of J.R.R Tolkein’s Middle Earth, the perfect place to stay is just a three-hour drive from Liverpool .

Shire House is a replica hobbit hole - designed to look just like Bilbo Baggins’ home in the Lord of the Rings films.

Based at North Shire in Liverton, near Loftus, Shire House is surrounded by natural beauty and offers views across North Yorkshire fields so beautiful you could be stood in Hobbiton.

The holiday home features intricate, on-theme decor and can accommodate six.

There are two bedrooms, a fully fitted kitchen and a luxury bathroom inside Shire House, along with a large seating area and a cosy fire.

Guests only have to bring along their own food and towels.

North Shire is also home to fairytale cottages, shepherd’s huts and a log cabin inspired by Hagrid’s Hut from Harry Potter .

Guests can book Shire House now by calling North Shire on 0128 764 2228.
