The Loose Women sip mimosas at 10am for Christmas Eve special

Fans of ITV's Loose Women may have been surprised today to discover that the show had been moved from it's lunch-time slot to 10am as their Christmas Eve special replaced This Morning.

Lead panellist Ruth Langsford was joined by Coleen Nolan, Janet Street Porter and Brenda Edwards for the festive rendition of the show, which saw the girl group enjoying what appeared to be a mimosa during the morning talk show.

Edwards, who reached the final of 2005's The X Factor and has appeared as a regular guest on the show since 2019, welcomed viewers with her own performance of Leona Lewis' merry tune 'One More Sleep' as her fellow presenters walked on stage.

Comedian and regular guest Judi Love also made an appearance from the Loose Lodge today (24 December), walking onto the show to Eartha Kitt's 1953 Christmas hit 'Santa Baby', and donning a seductive red lace dress and matching fur-lined hood.

The Loose ladies sipped on fizz whilst reminiscing about their own family's festive traditions until Langsford made a brutal Christmas confession that left the rest of the panel gobsmacked.

"I read somewhere that it takes an average of 14 seconds, when you're opening a gift, to decide whether you like it or not," she explained. "And I was like, '14?!' - 3 seconds!

"I mean, I literally could tell you in a couple of seconds as I'm opening half the wrapper like, 'What on earth have they got this for?'"

"You're nasty!" a shocked Coleen Nolan chimed in.

Ruth defended her admission, "Coleen, I would never say it! Always, I've got the game face - I go, 'Aww thank you, that's lovely!'"

"I can't hide anything with my face!" joked Brenda Edwards.
