Hello. It's Thursday, November 11 and here's your quick news wrap to get you in the loop for today.
One thing to know right now
China and the United States have made a (somewhat unexpected) joint pledge to work together to combat climate change at the UN climate summit in Glasgow.
Their declaration includes plans to:
- Close the emissions gap
- Improve the measurement of methane emissions
- Do more to slow deforestation
"We will jointly strengthen climate action and cooperation with respect to our respective national situations," Chinese climate envoy Xie Zhenhua says.
His US counterpart, John Kerry, says while the US and China have their differences, working together on this issue is imperative.
"Cooperation is the only way to get this job done, this is not a discretionary thing, frankly," he says.
One thing you’ll be hearing about today
Today is Remembrance Day.

The Australian War Memorial will host the national ceremony this year — you can watch the broadcast live on the ABC from 10:45am AEDT this morning, or on the Memorial's Facebook page.

And one more thing
A couple in the US is suing a fertility clinic after a mix-up saw them spend months raising a child that wasn't theirs.
Daphna and Alexander Cardinale say they had immediate suspicions the girl she gave birth to in late 2019 wasn't theirs because of her darker complexion, but Daphna says they suppressed their doubts because they fell in love with the baby and trusted their doctors.
She says she was caused enduring trauma after learning, months later, that she had been pregnant with another couple's baby and another woman had been carrying her child.
The couple made this statement, and it's pretty emotional:
Lawyer Adam Wolf, who represents all four parents involved, says the other couple want to remain anonymous but are planning a similar lawsuit.
