The 'long-term plan' which will see Chelsea keep Jorginho despite Juventus and Napoli interest

Jorginho's agent has revealed that the midfielder is hoping to stay with Chelsea for 'the medium-long term'.

The Italian midfielder was widely linked with a summer move away from Stamford Bridge with a number of clubs in Serie A thought to be keen on a move.

Two of the club mentioned were Jorginho's former club, Napoli and Italian champions Juventus.

Of course, the Old Lady are now led by former Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri who also managed the midfielder during his spell in Naples, but a summer move never materialised.

That interest in Jorginho is likely to been a constant, but speaking to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli , his agent Joao Santos said that he expects his client to stay in west London for several more years.

Asked if there was any interest in his client over the summer, Santos said: "No, nothing like that has happened.

"We have a medium-long term project at Chelsea, as we did with Verona and Napoli. There are five years of a contract and we would like to stay there for at least four more "
