Residents living next to a busy Nottinghamshire retail park said it has been a 'lifesaver' during lockdown.
Chilwell Retail Park is home to M&S, McDonald's, TK Maxx, Costa and more.
Dad-of-three Aman Dhanda, who lives opposite the retail park, said: "It is very useful to have nearby especially when you've got kids.
"I moved here in 1995 when I was 11.
"We're fortunate there is a lot of parking here so we don't get people parking outside our house.
"It's just what you want to have nearby. It has been very quiet during lockdown.
"We're lucky to have it."
Jo Harrison, 42, and Andy Stenning, 59, who live half a mile from the retail park, said they enjoy having it nearby.
Jo said: "It's a lifesaver during lockdown.
"It is a good incentive to go for a walk and you can meet for a coffee here.
"It's nice to have on your doorstep. It is popular as well because of the nature reserve."
Andy added: "It is busy but it's not overwhelming.
"Walking around the city it’s very quiet too, it’s astonishing. The bigger stores are closing down now which is scary for our city centres.
"My hope is the independent places can thrive."
Robert and Lisa Ramsdale, who have lived in Toton for 30 years, said the retail park is "fantastic".
Robert, 58, said: "It's nice to be able to walk here but we do avoid the weekends. For me, as long as you stay away from people it's fine.
"People park here to go for a walk at the nature reserve. It's much worse than before."
Lisa, 59, added: "We try not to drive here as we can walk from our house.
"I like the fact that some shops are doing Click and Collect at the moment but it would be handy to have more shops."
