The locations of the confirmed coronavirus cases in Wales

Thirteen new cases of the coronavirus were confirmed in Wales on Wednesday (March 18), according to Public Health Wales (PHW).

This brings the total numbers of cases in the country 149.

Dr Robin Howe, Incident Director for the Covid-19 outbreak response at PHW, said: "The process of identifying and contacting close contacts of the new cases is underway, and we are taking all appropriate actions to protect the public’s health."

How the new cases were acquired has not been revealed.

All schools in Wales will be closed from Friday, the Welsh Government has announced.

A number of schools have already closed their doors due to either suspected cases of coronavirus or because of staffing issues.

These are all the locations of the confirmed cases in Wales as of Tuesday.

From today, Public Health Wales will not be providing data on a local authority level. From Thursday, it will provide data on a Local Health Board level.
