During lockdown we all missed heading to a nice restaurant for a meal out.
And with guidelines finally easing and restaurants and pubs opening their indoor areas from Monday, August 3, the UK Government is actively encouraging people to eat out and support the struggling hospitality industry.
The Eat Out to Help Out promotion will give customers a 50% discount on food and non-alcoholic drinks up to the value of £10 per person in all participating businesses.
The discount applies on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays from August, 3 until August, 31 and aims to give cafes, restaurants and pubs who have been shut throughout the pandemic a much needed boost.
A number of independent businesses in Llanelli have signed up to the scheme as well as big name chains that have indoor dining areas.

A search tool on the Government website https://www.gov.uk/guidance/get-a-discount-with-the-eat-out-to-help-out-scheme also allows people to search for participating local businesses within a five-mile radius but might not pick up a number of big chains that have also signed up to the scheme.
