The Liverpool record Celtic can surpass as Neil Lennon's side face Livingston test

They may have gone out of the Europa League last week, but there's no denying that Celtic have been in imperious form domestically since returning from the winter break.

Since January 1 Neil Lennon 's side have won all of their domestic matches, reaching the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup with a 1-0 victory at St Johnstone yesterday.

On Wednesday they return to Premiership action and Celtic have the chance to extend an incredible record when they face Livingston.

Saturday saw Liverpool fall to their first defeat of the Premier League season, and Jurgen Klopp's side had won all of their league matches in 2020 prior to the shock at Vicarage Road.

That result means that Celtic are now the only team in Europe to have won every domestic match in 2020, and one of only two with a perfect league record.

Feyenoord had started the Eredivisie perfectly in 2020 but they drew with PSV at the weekend to end that streak.

Only Turkish giants Galatasaray can match Celtic in terms of league form, with their run extended thanks to a 3-0 win over Genclerbirligi yesterday.

They've won seven Super Lig games in a row this year, but were beaten in the first leg of a Turkish Cup match by Alanyaspor before winning 3-1 in the second leg to go through.

Celtic, meanwhile, have won eight Premiership matches in a row and, unlike Gala, remain unbeaten domestically in 2020 thanks to Scottish Cup wins over Partick Thistle, Clyde and St Johnstone.
