The Liverpool dressing room view revealed on Cristiano Ronaldo's Manchester United transfer

Andrew Robertson insists Liverpool will not get caught up in Cristiano Ronaldo fever - but welcomes his return to the Premier League.

A five-time Ballon d'Or winner, Ronaldo is officially a United player once again after spending six hugely successful years at Old Trafford between 2003 and 2009.

During that time, the Portuguese sensation, now 36, scored 118 goals and laid on 69 assists - winning three Premier League titles and one Champions League (in 2008).

Back for a second act, Ronaldo has yet to touch down in England, but has completed a medical and the necessary paperwork for his switch from Juventus to go through.

He will make his second debut for United on the back of the upcoming international break.

It's a move which has sent shockwaves across the world - even in a transfer window that has thrown up many eye-catching deals and surprises - but how has the news been received at Anfield?

United are due to lock horns with bitter rivals Liverpool for the first time this season on October 24.

Speaking on Sky Sports News, Robertson said: "There's a lot of fantastic players in the league and Ronaldo has just added to that. We'll let Manchester United fans worry about that. I suppose their prince is returning and it's about them to get excited about it. I'm not too worried about him until we have to face them, because I've played against him before and he's a fantastic player.

"He's someone who needs your full attention, but Man United have got world-class players all over the pitch and they've just added to that.

"They're all difficult, but I'1ll worry about that when we play them. I'm fully focused on Scotland and these upcoming games for Liverpool, but it's great to have top players in the Premier League and he's added to that list."
