Harry Wilson has opened up on what it was like for him to play for Frank Lampard ahead of a reunion with the Chelsea head coach at Stamford Bridge tomorrow (Saturday).
The 22-year-old, who is currently on loan at Bournemouth from Liverpool, is preparing to face Lampard's Chelsea side in west London tomorrow, as Bournemouth look to try and arrest a recent slump that has seen them lose their last five games in a row in the top flight.
For Wilson, he will be facing a team led by the man who he called his manager last season, having worked with Lampard during his time at Derby County.
And Wilson, who impressed on loan at Derby with 18 goals in 46 appearances in all competitions for the Rams last season, has spoken about working with Lampard and how he helped him in his development.
“I owe Frank Lampard a lot," he told the Press Association.
“He was fantastic for me last season, probably the most important one in my career so far, the one where I played regular football.
“To play under a legend like him, he taught me a lot.
"I'm in regular contact with him and it's great to see him doing so well at Chelsea now.”
But Wilson, who has scored six goals in 14 Premier League appearances for Bournemouth this season, will be hoping to cause problems for the Blues in west London tomorrow, with the Cherries in need of a result, sitting just one point above the relegation zone after a poor run of form of late.
