Leeds United striker Patrick Bamford insists that he and his teammates have developed an act for learning how to see games through and claim narrow victories.
The Whites, who will travel to Kenilworth Road to face Luton Town following the international break, maintained their automatic promotion hopes with a 2-1 win over Blackburn Rovers at Elland Road on Saturday afternoon.
Leeds found themselves 2-0 up after just 35 minutes thanks to goals from Patrick Bamford and Jack Harrison but were forced to battle hard in the second half after Derrick Williams' header brought Tony Mowbray's Rovers back into the game just five minutes before the break.
But United battled hard and found a way to secure another home win.
Speaking to LUTV after the game, Bamford explained: "When not playing well, we have learned a little bit to grind it out, make the necessary foul, even though it might be dirty and take the ball into the corner - just all the little tricks that help us.
"I think it is important in the Championship about making your home a fortress. It is one of those cliches but I think it is very important and I think if you can win the majority of your games at home, it stands you in good stead."
Leeds head into the international break sitting third in the table, behind second-placed Preston on goal difference and two points off table toppers West Brom.
