The little-known Boots rewards scheme where you get more points for every £1 spent

Chances are, you've got loads of differently loyalty cards in your wallet or purse.

Points really do add up when you're a loyal customer.

Of course, some shops only have one standard loyalty scheme you can sign up to, but others have additional options which many aren't familiar with.

One of those retailers is Boots, as Manchester Evening News report.

Aside from its usual Advantage Card, has a rewards scheme tailored specifically for those aged over 60 - and it will give you some incredible deals.

When you sign up for the Over 60s Rewards scheme you'll receive the following benefits:

  • Save 25% on your first pair of glasses or prescription sunglasses
  •
  • Access to exclusive in-store events - including makeovers and prize draws
  •
  • Extra points at Boots Hearingcare
  •
  • 20% off personalised photo gifts on bootsphoto.com
  •
  • Get a whopping 10 points for every £1 you spend on these brilliant brands (including No7, Boots Pharmaceuticals, Soltan, Botanics, Tea Tree & Witch Hazel, Natural Collection)
  •

Those who hold the normal Advantage Card receive 4 points for every £1 spent on Boots-branded items, so with an Over 60s account will receive more than double the usual amount of points - and that's not to be sniffed at.

It is important to note that the Over 60s club will give you 4 points for every £1 spend on Boots-branded items, but the usual Advantage Card earns points across branded and non-branded items.

Another perk off the over-60s scheme is that card holders will be given a jammy 150 points when they get their first hearing check at Boots Hearingcare.

Signing up for the scheme is free, you just need to make sure you're over 60 to qualify.
