Bell Shakespeare and Griffin Theatre Company join forces to present The Literati, playwright Justin Fleming’s adaptation of Molière’s Les Femmes Savantes.

The satire of intellectual Parisian society has been brought into 21st century Australia with a very Sydney story of Juliet and Clinton in love. Their love is sweet and all-encompassing, but not without impediments. Juliet’s mother and sister completely disapprove.

Griffin’s artistic director Lee Lewis will direct Kate Mulvany in the sassy story filled with linguistic dexterity, wit and rhyme.
