The Lion King remake odds on to win Oscar at 2020 awards and it's not even out yet

The Lion King isn't even out yet, but that hasn't stopped it getting Oscar buzz.

The new Disney remake, directed by Jon Favreau, is set to hit cinemas in July this year, with a new trailer having just been released.

The new film is off to a promising start with the bookies already taking bets on it winning an Oscar.

The Lion King is odds on with bookmaker Coral, at 1-2, to win an Oscar at the 2020 awards as the full trailer for the upcoming live action remake landed.

The original film won a host of awards for its musical score, including Academy Awards for the original song Can You Feel the Love Tonight (Elton John, Tim Rice) and original score (Hans Zimmer), plus two Grammy Awards, with the soundtrack selling over 14 million copies.
