The Lion King musical will continue at the Edinburgh Playhouse throughout the Easter holidays after a 25-performance extension was announced.
The show, which arrived in town on Thursday, 5 December, was due to finish up until Sunday, 29 March.
However extra performances have been added, and it will now remain at the venue until Saturday, 18 April – good news for those looking for a special Easter holiday treat.
The Playhouse is the only Scottish venue the show is visiting, and those at the playhouse say it MUST end on 18 April.
Tickets for the new performances go on pre-sale to ATG TheatreCard holders at 10am on Monday (13 January) before hitting general sale at 10am on Tuesday via ATGTickets.com/venues/edinburgh-playhouse
At first the show was just expected to run until Sunday, 9 February before being extended to the end of March. This latest extension means it will have been in the city for more than four months.
Colin Marr, theatre director at the Playhouse, previously said they'd seen "exceptional demand" for the musical's return to the Playhouse.
