The life aquatic: Wes Anderson to tour on Queen Mary 2

In a piece of whimsy that could have come straight from one of his movies, Wes Anderson is to embark on a very Andersonian tour of his film The Grand Budapest Hotel. The director will sail across the Atlantic on the Queen Mary 2 with the film's stars, Tilda Swinton and Jason Schwartzman, also in tow.

Setting sail from New York on 13 June and arriving in London a week later, the trio will be joined by frequent Anderson collaborator Roman Coppola for a question-and-answer session for passengers. The film will also get a screening during the voyage; tickets will begin at £1,099.

It's a victory lap of sorts for Anderson: the film has become his biggest box office success, making more than $140m (£83m) worldwide to date. He recently alluded to his next project, again with Coppola, being "a little bit vaguely avant-garde in its concept and I'm just not sure if it's going to quite gel … it's a thing where maybe there's many things happening at once."
