The Libertines announce Glasgow date at the Barrowlands

The Libertines have announced a return to Glasgow for a date at the Barrowlands later this year.

The band, comprised of Pete Doherty, Carl Barât, John Hassall and Gary Powell, will take to the stage under the famous blue and white tiled ceiling on Saturday, December 7.

The show is part of a nine-date UK tour which will also see them play Dundee north of the border, as well as the likes of Leeds, Manchester and London.

Authors of anthems such as 'Can't Stand Me Now' and 'Don't Look Back Into The Sun', The Libertines are no strangers to the east end venue, having last played it back in June of 2014 when they reunited following a four year hiatus.

While charismatic and unpredictable frontman Pete Doherty performed at the Barras back in May this year in support of of his first record with his new backing band, The Puta Madres.

Tickets go on sale on Friday (June 28) at 9am here
