The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake is real, and it’s coming faster than you can solve the Water Temple

The rumors were real. Happy 40th anniversary, Zelda: Ocarina of Time is coming back in a big way.

To close out today’s Nintendo Direct, the company confirmed The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is being remade for the Switch 2. And the best thing is, it’s coming out sometime this year.

The short teaser ended with “2026,” confirming that one of the best games ever made is coming this year. The video did not show much, but we did get a glimpse of young Link in some impressive realistic graphics.

Nintendo teased more info coming soon, but for now, Zelda fans can look forward to the reimagining of OoT on modern tech, and that’s enough to get even me, a non-Zelda fan, excited.
