The Leeds United prediction that Nottingham Forest fans will hope comes true tonight

Nottingham Forest fans will be watching Leeds United in action this evening hoping that Middlesbrough can cause an upset in the race for promotion.

Marcelo Bielsa's side can go six points clear of the Reds with a win against their 21st-placed opponent who have it all to play for themselves for the rest of the season.

Boro are are three points ahead of Wigan Athletic who, currently, are the leading side of the division's bottom three.

But, despite their league position, our SkyBet Championship supercomputer has predicted Jonathan Woodgate's side to snatch an unlikely point this evening with a goalless draw.

That will see Leeds extend their lead over Forest just only four points with eleven games left to play, leaving the door wide open in the race for promotion.

Here's how our supercomputer has predicted tonight's games to finish, along with the percentage likelihood of the match resulting in a 'home' win, a 'draw' or an 'away' win...

HOME TEAM     AWAY TEAM HOME DRAW AWAY
Blackburn Rovers 1 0 Stoke City 68.0% 20.6% 11.4%
Fulham 1 0 Swansea City 57.4% 22.6% 20.0%
Hull City 2 0 Barnsley 63.0% 20.1% 16.8%
Middlesbrough 0 0 Leeds United 28.9% 33.5% 37.6%
Millwall 1 0 Birmingham City 62.2% 22.5% 15.3%
Reading 1 0 Wigan Athletic 59.0% 23.8% 17.2%
Sheffield Wednesday 1 0 Charlton Athletic 40.7% 31.9% 27.5%

Despite tonight's prediction, Leeds are still tipped to snatch promotion to the Premier League by two points with Forest in third.

West Bromwich Albion, according to the supercomputer, will cruise to the title with a whopping 97 points, 14 more than Leeds.

If the prediction proves to be true, the Reds will then take on Blackburn Rovers in a play-off semi-final while Brentford will lock horns with Fulham in the other.

Stoke City, Wigan Athletic and Barnsley will be relegated with Rotherham United, Coventry City and one of either Portsmouth, Sunderland, Oxford United and Peterborough.

The supercomputer uses in-game statistics and probability from each and every Championship game this season to calculator how each score line will finish between now and the end of the season.
