The Leeds United players walking a one-month disciplinary tightrope

Three Leeds United players are walking a disciplinary tightrope ahead of the cut-off point for yellow card suspensions on Saturday, December 7.

Left-back Ezgjan Alioski and midfield man Kalvin Phillips are both just one booking away from a one-game ban, with both players having collected four yellow cards apiece so far this term.

Should each of them receive one more yellow card before the conclusion of the Whites' clash with Middlesbrough on Saturday, November 30, then they will be forced into a one-game suspension.

The tale, though he is still going to have to watch himself should he make a return from injury any time soon, is slightly different for Adam Forshaw, with the former Brentford man currently sat on three yellow cards. Another two bookings for him would see him receive a one-game ban.

FA rules state that the threshold will be reset after 19 Championship fixtures, which means players have only three more matches to negotiate through to avoid receiving a ban.

For the Leeds trio that are currently on the cusp of potentially being on the receiving end of a one-game ban, they are going to have to watch themselves closely in the trips to Luton Town and Reading and the home meeting with Middlesbrough.
