In a usual season, June 30 would mark the day where Leeds United would bid farewell to players out of contract.
This would have also been the case for anyone on loan at the Elland Road outfit.
However, because of the coronavirus pandemic which caused all football in England to be suspended for three months, the 2019/20 campaign isn't on course to finish until July.
As a result, a number of players who were due to leave today (June 30) have signed short-term deals so that they can help the Whites secure promotion to the Premier League.
Earlier in the month, it was confirmed that Gaetano Berardi has signed an extension to remain with the club until the end of the 2019/20 season.
In addition, it was also announced that loan trio Jack Harrison, Illan Meslier and Ben White have also seen their deals extended to cover the end of current delayed campaign.
Helder Costa, whose loan deal is due to become permanent at the end of the season, has also been permitted to complete the season at Elland Road.
With that said, there was no announcement regarding Jean-Kevin Augustin's future at the time (June 19)
And that is still the case 11 days later ahead of the Whites' Championship clash against Luton Town.
The striker's loan from RB Leipzig loan deal expires today (June 30) and question marks continue to surround whether he will stick around for the remainder of the season or return to Germany.
After all, he has missed out against Cardiff and Fulham, with head coach Marcelo Bielsa saying he was doing 'individual' work.
"We are following what he's doing and after we evaluate what he's doing we take a decision," Bielsa said before the win over Fulham.
But have Leeds already made a decision regarding Augustin? Unless the club announces his loan deal has been extended before midnight, he may have already bid farewell to Elland Road.
