'The Leeds United I fell in love with' Fans show their pride after narrow Arsenal defeat

There was an outpouring of pride and positivity from Leeds United fans on social media, despite exiting the FA Cup with a 1-0 defeat away to Arsenal.

Football writers and pundits were stunned by the brilliant intensity shown by Marcelo Bielsa's men in the first half, dominating possession and having the majority of chances as they set the tempo, winning the ball in the opposition half and playing it out from the back.

That was a sentiment shared by the United faithful online, praising their first-half performance against the Premier League side, although many worried they’d be punished for failing to take their chances - which turned out to be the case.

Mikel Arteta’s Gunners really struggled in the first half, but they came out much-improved after the break and immediately started putting the Leeds backline under more pressure, opening the scoring with a slightly scrappy finish from Reiss Nelson in the 55th minute, which turned out to be the decider on the night.
