A 14-year-old Leeds boy has his own interpretation of the best way to celebrate carers and the NHS.
Zack Mullen-Ross, of Crossgates, has been playing his drum set every Thursday at 8pm.
The talented teen usually has weekly lessons with his tutor and he had also recently started attending Leeds College of Music on Saturdays for lessons aimed at under 18s before the lockdown was applied.
His proud mother, Charlie Ross said the drumming each Thursday and people on their street stop clapping when Zack stops playing.

Charlie said: “He gets comments all the time about how good he is. He’s a natural on the drums.
“With it being lockdown he’s not having any of his lessons and I think it has been therapeutic for him being able to play on the street.

“Most people across the country clap for about a minute but we end up doing it for two to three minutes. I think he would play all night if he could.”
Along with the drumming, he has also written a song about coronavirus and he has even played along to the BBC news theme tune, both of which have been uploaded online.
Speaking of how Zack started drumming Charlie added: “I think he was born to be a drummer. I wouldn’t be surprised if he went on and did something amazing with his drumming.
“On his third birthday, he got a pretend drum kit from Argos because it was clear he was a musician. When he was 18 months old he would tap everything. His uncle is a musician and he said he’s clearly a drummer. He got started doing his lessons when he was 10 years old.”
