The Leeds Covid blackspots where infection rates are double UK average

Coronavirus infection rates are rising across the country and the story is no different in Leeds - but three areas of the city still stand out as hotspots.

There are three Middle layer Super Output Areas (MSOA) - these are portions of the country home to around 7,200 people each - in the Leeds region with runaway rates far above the national average.

The national average currently stands at 418.3 new cases per 100,000 people.

The three MSOAs in Leeds with rates above 800 are all in the Horsforth and Farsley area.
