The breed became synonymous with the Queen, appearing with her on trips around the country, to the extent they were once described as her ‘moving carpet’ because of the way the dogs would follow her around.
One of her dogs once photo-bombed the English Rugby Team, and they even made appearances at key events throughout the Queen’s reign.
Two of them had starring roles alongside James Bond in the halls of Buckingham Palace for the opening ceremony of the 2012 Olympics.
