The Lay's sari: We're in love with this designer's VIRAL potato wafer sari

It does not matter if you are a 'chip' of the old block or not, you ought to love the other chip, that is potato wafers. Indians lover their wafers as crisp as a minted bank note. From creating variations in flavours to making jokes about a potato chip packing having more air than wafers, we have done it all to showcase our love for this snack. But now, a designer who specialises in producing slow fashion clothing and recycling has gone ahead and designed a sari out of the good old blue chip packet!

Jayeta Rohilla, designer at Mae which specialises on designing recycled non-binary clothes, just came up with the most innvoative way of re-using packets of blue 'Lay's'.

"Can we play for a second? Can we recreate from waste? Played with the front and back of the chips packet," she posted on the official Instagram handle of Mae and this video has gone viral since as it showcases her using the potato chip packets and producing a sari that is so kitschy and desirable.

If you have a thing for everything kitsch, you will love this sari as much as we do!

While some people loved the innovation and wrote, "Saari ho toh aisi ho warna na ho" (Either wear a saree like this or don't wear it at all), "we all wanna look like a snack", "OMG" and "LOVE", some slammed it outright and gave it a thumbs down.

Well, frankly speaking we are astonished at the fact that someone could think of this idea and truly appreciate Jayeta for trying this out, tell us what are your thoughts about the Lay's sari.
