The latest update on Nottingham Forest goalkeeper Jordan Smith's future

Nottingham Forest are still keen for Jordan Smith to remain at the club despite seeing his contract expire.

Smith played the final two games of the season as Brice Samba's understudy and though Forest missed out on the play-offs, the 25-year-old performed well.

His contract ran out at the end of the current campaign, but Reds boss Sabri Lamouchi has been keen for him to sign a new deal at the club.

Smith has played 51 times for Forest, but 32 of those came in the 2017/18 season.

Since then he has played second and even third fiddle to Costel Pantilimon, Aro Muric and Samba.

He impressed as Samba's deputy last season but may be keen to try and find regular football having also had loan spells at Barnsley and Mansfield Town in the last two years.

Smith is still listed as a Forest player on the club website with his biography having been updated since the end of the season.
