Torreira left Fratton Park in a protective boot and using crutches in a worrying sight for Arsenal fans.

The midfielder was in attendance for Arsenal's 1-0 win over West Ham at the Emirates Stadium, but was again spotted on crutches as he made his way to the players' lounge at full-time of the game.

Torreira has become a key figure for Arsenal under Mikel Arteta, playing 24 times in the Premier League this season, although he was a substitute in the last two Premier League games under the Spaniard.

He has played 83 times for Arsenal since moving from Serie A side Sampdoria in the summer of 2018, scoring four goals and providing six assists.
