The latest on Sheffield United's interest in Swansea City's Oli McBurnie as movement expected at Liberty

Swansea City say there has been no follow-up bid from Sheffield United for star man Oli McBurnie.

Blades boss Chris Wilder has made the striker one of his top target this summer and has already had one bid knocked back for the 24-goal man.

The Bramall Lane club offered £15million for the Scotland international, but Swansea are in no mood to lose McBurnie on the cheap, and are believed to be holding out for closer to £20million.

The ball is now back in the Blades' court, who have already signed Bournemouth striker Lys Mousset for a fee in the region of £10million.

But there has been no return call from Yorkshire as yet - and Swansea will hope that remains the case.

After featuring for the Swans in a 6-1 pre-season win over Yeovil Town at Huish Park last week, McBurnie admitted he was "flattered" by the interest shown in him.

"It's out of my hands really, that's the club's decision," said the striker on a potential switch to South Yorkshire.

"Those two (clubs) will speak about that, it's for people way above my pay grade to talk about, I just get on with the football, it is what it is.

"It's flattering because it means you're doing something right, getting attention from clubs like that.

"But everyone who knows me knows I'll keep my focus on the pitch and my head in the football. I won't let my head turn and I'll get on with things."

There is, however, expected to be activity at the Liberty this week.

Steve Cooper is hopeful of getting a couple of deals over the line ahead of the Atalanta friendly on Saturday, but it is believed that nothing is imminent at this stage.

Swansea have been linked with a loan move for Chelsea youngsters Kasey Palmer and Jake Clarke-Salter in recent days.

Jordan Ayew is set to finalise his move to Crystal Palace this week, with a medical and the finer details of the deal set to be sorted soon.

As for Andre Ayew, Jefferson Montero and Borja Baston - there has been no interest in them so far.

The latter featured for the first team for the first time in over two years last weekend, and could be in line for minutes against Bristol Rovers on Tuesday night.

Montero is still in Ecuador sorting visa issues.
