The latest odds on Eddie Nketiah's future as Bristol City battle Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest for Arsenal striker

Bristol City remain hot favourites with the bookmakers to land the signing of Eddie Nketiah from Arsenal.

The Robins have been reported as the front runners for the ex-Leeds United loanee's signature since he was recalled by the Gunners at the beginning of the January transfer window.

City were, of course, desperate to sign the 20-year-old in the summer but were pipped to the signing by Leeds on deadline day.

However, after making only two Championship starts, scoring three goals in 19 total appearances, Nketiah was recalled by Arsenal.

And indeed, we understand that a decision is imminent with City set to learn shortly if the 20-year-old is heading to BS3.

Reports from The Athletic have today supported that and state that Nketiah will decide his future in the next 24 to 48 hours.

Bristol City, Sheffield Wednesday and Nottingham Forest are all reported as pushing to convince the Gunners that Nketiah's best chance of the first-team football lies with them.

Given the Robins' previous interest, it seems that is tipping the balance as far as the bookmakers are concerned.

Bristol City are currently 8/11 to sign Nketiah on loan for the remainder of the season.

That is much shorter odds than their Championship competitors, with Nottingham Forest priced second in the list at 5/1.

Sheffield Wednesday are 7/1, with Hull City (10/1), Middlesbrough (12/1) and Wigan Athletic (14/1) making up the list.

Should Arsenal and Nketiah makes a decision in the next 48 hours, he could make his debut for Lee Johnson's men away at Wigan Athletic on Saturday.

With only one win in their last seven matches across all competitions, the introduction of Nketiah could breathe a fresh air of impetus into City ahead of their trip to the DW Stadium.
