The latest golf rules in Wales and how many people you can play with

Three and four-ball golf will be permitted with players from different households in Wales from Monday, it has been announced.

It comes after the Welsh Government revealed the latest updates on lifting lockdown measures, permitting organised outdoor activities from July 13. You can read the full details here.

In response to the announcement, a statement from Wales Golf read: "Following the First Minister's announcements, Wales Golf is pleased to announce that from Monday, July 13, three and four-ball golf is permitted from different households following golf industry and Welsh Government protocols.

"This is as a result of organised outdoor activities being able to resume."

As part of the announcement, it was confirmed that outdoor group coaching sessions and Wales Golf schemes such as New2Golf can re-start safely while following the Welsh Government and industry guidelines.

It has also been announced that food and beverage outlets can resume operating an outdoor service from July 13, providing they follow Welsh Government advice including test, trace and protect.

Golf courses in Wales re-opened in late May, with players still required to abide by the government's rules on social distancing while playing.
