Covid-19 rates have risen in every single Greater Manchester borough.
Rochdale now has the highest coronavirus infection rate in Greater Manchester, replacing Wigan.
It recorded a rate of 409.6 cases per 100,000 people in the week ending November 15, according to the latest data from the UK Health Security Agency.
The lowest infection rate is in Oldham, where the rate is 269.7 cases per 100,000 people.
In Greater Manchester as a whole, the infection rate is now 349.2 cases per 100,000 residents.
A total of 9,902 people tested positive for coronavirus across Greater Manchester in the week to November 15.
Compared to the previous week, the weekly total has increased by 1,182 cases meaning the infection rate was up 14 per cent in the last week.
However, despite the increases, the region’s infection rate is lower than the national average — which is 402.0 cases per 100,000 people.
Only Rochdale and Wigan — with a rate of 407.3 — are above the England average.
England’s highest infection rate can be found in Torridge, Devon, at 934.2, 642.
That is a 93 percent rise for the town.
In the same timeframe, 48 people sadly died within 28 days of a positive Covid test across Greater Manchester, which is 7 fewer than the week before.
