The number of new coronavirus cases is falling in every part of Greater Manchester.
The downward trend in infection rates suggests that the third national lockdown may be taking effect.
As of January 27, all but one borough in Greater Manchester had a transmission rate lower than 300 cases per 100,000 people.
Manchester currently has the highest rate with 308.6.
While the number of cases is moving in the right direction for our region, some local areas are still virus hotspots.
An interactive map shows the number of positive Covid test results in each neighbourhood across the country using Office for National Statistics (ONS) data.

The latest version of the map reveals the number of infections per 'neighbourhood' per 100,000 people in the week ending January 26.
It also shows the exact number of new cases confirmed in the same week.
No neighbourhoods had a case rate of 800+ as of January 26.
Yet some areas have more than 400 cases, with a number of neighbourhoods in north, east and south Manchester recording the highest numbers.
These areas are shaded as light purple on the map.
The neighbourhood with the highest rate is Merseybank and Barlow Moor, bordering Chorlton and West Didsbury, with 667.2 cases per 100,000 people.

Wythenshawe East and Peel Hall had 544.0 cases of Covid per 100,000 people, followed by Belle Vue and West Gorton with 532.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Belle Vue and West Gorton recorded the highest number of new cases that week with 55 positive test results.
Fallowfield West and Whalley Range has 515.6 cases per 100,000.
In North Manchester, Crumpsall North and Heaton Park had 420.9 cases per 100,000 with 38 new positive tests.
Meanwhile, Harpurhey South and Monsall had a rate of 404.2 with 45 new cases.

Outside of the city, Failsworth West is another hotspot with a rate of 529.6 cases per 100,000, followed by Derker in Oldham with 527.8 cases per 100,000.
In Trafford, two area of Stretford have more than 400 cases per 100,000 people.
Lostock and Stretford Meadows had 442.4 cases per 100,000 people with 39 new positive tests, followed by Stretford East with a rate of 441.3 per 100,000.
Gilnow and Victory in north west Bolton has a rate of 606.3 making it the town's worst affected area in the seven days ending January 26, followed by Horwich North with a rate 596.8.
In Bury, Kirkhams and Holyrood has the highest rate in the borough with 487.1 cases per 100,000 followed by Walmersley and Limefield with 481.4 per 100,000.
