The latest coronavirus cases recorded in Leeds as city records first death in two weeks

There have been 19 more coronavirus cases recorded in Leeds, according to the latest data.

It takes the total number of cases in Leeds since the start of the outbreak to 3,692.

On Wednesday Leeds has recorded its first coronavirus death in 17 days.

One of the two new deaths recorded in Yorkshire hospitals over the past 24 hours was that of a patient in a Leeds hospital.

Across Yorkshire, 121 new cases of the virus were recorded in hospitals over the past 24 hours.

It takes the total number of Yorkshire cases to 29,309.

On July 2, Public Health England changed the way it recorded confirmed cases of coronavirus.

The figures now include historic pillar two data, which comes from fixed testing sites, mobile and home testing data.

Before this, figures of positive cases only included pillar one figures which came from hospital and health care testing.

  • Leeds - was 3,673, now 3,692 (19)
  • Wakefield - was 1,718, now 1,727 (9)
  • North Yorkshire - was 2,533, now 2,536 (3)
  • Sheffield - was 4,048, now 4,055 (7)
  • Barnsley - was 1,921, now 1,923 (2)
  • Bradford - was 4,417, now 4,455 (38)
  • Calderdale - was 710, now 714 (4)
  • Rotherham - was 1,921, now 1,933 (12)
  • Kirklees - was 2,152, now 2,169 (17)
  • York - was 910, now 911 (1)
  • Doncaster - 1,997, now 2,004 (7)
  • East Yorkshire - still 1,645
  • Hull - was 1,543, now 1,545 (2)
